Tulip Sunlife

Striking color play: why 'Sunlife' has become a favorite in the Triumph class

The 'Sunlife' tulip (Sunlife) confidently occupies a niche of mid-season varieties, blending classic goblet geometry with a unique color palette. Unlike many monochromatic Triumph-class cultivars, this hybrid stands out with a gradient shift from deep lilac to bright red, making it highly sought after for both landscape design and commercial forcing.

Agrotechnical advantages and resistance

A major drawback for many early and mid-season tulips is their susceptibility to fungal diseases, which often limits their use in open ground. 'Sunlife' differentiates itself with superior durability:

• Phytosanitary reliability: its genetically inherent resistance to fusarium wilt allows for a reduction in the number of fungicide applications.
• Downy mildew resistance: even during high-humidity periods at the budding stage, the plant retains turgor and maintains its foliage's decorative quality.

Who is this variety for?

The stem height is classified as medium, making it an optimal choice for mid-ground arrangements in flower beds. Thanks to its dense bud structure, the tulip holds its form remarkably well during adverse weather, such as strong winds or prolonged rain. It is ideal for both professional floriculturists and home gardeners who seek stable results without the risk of losing planting material to rot.

Strength: unique color contrast and high bulb viability.
Note: requires standard storage conditions to fully unleash the flower stalk potential in the following season.
