Tulip Abu Hassan

Reliability in Professional Floriculture: The Abu Hassan Tulip

For commercial growers focused on crop security and predictable yield, the Abu Hassan variety represents an essential asset. Belonging to the Triumph class, this tulip is engineered for both aesthetic appeal and robust resistance to common bulb diseases. Its application is widespread in operations where maintaining healthy stock throughout the forcing cycle is non-negotiable.

Disease Resistance and Farm Management

The primary economic advantage of Abu Hassan is its proven resistance to anthracnose and Fusarium wilt. These pathogens are typically the greatest threat to profitability in greenhouse cultivation. By integrating this variety into the production cycle, growers can benefit from:

• Lower input costs: Reduced need for intensive chemical fungicide applications.
• Consistent Quality: A higher percentage of marketable, uniform blooms.
• Operational Stability: Reduced risk of crop failure during the critical forcing phase.

Production Application

The striking combination of red and lilac petals ensures high retail demand, while the medium-height stem profile allows for efficient harvesting and automated packaging processes. As a mid-season bloomer, it fits seamlessly into production schedules that prioritize reliability over experimentation. For operations looking to scale without risking significant losses to soil-borne fungi, Abu Hassan stands out as a pragmatic and highly effective choice.
