Tulip Rai

Exotic aesthetics in your garden

The Rai tulip variety belongs to the elite Parrot tulip group — cultivars known for petals resembling the ruffled plumage of tropical birds. Unlike standard cup-shaped forms, this variety captures attention with its complex geometry and deep lilac hue, making it a focal point in any landscape design.

Agronomic advantages

For professional florists and home gardeners, the choice of Rai is driven by its high resilience. The variety demonstrates impressive immunity to the most damaging bulbous plant diseases:

• Alternaria: the plant shows strong resistance to fungal leaf spots.
• Downy Mildew: provides reliable protection against Peronospora.
• Black Leg: significantly reduced risk of basal rot, which is critical for forcing and spring planting.

Seasonal performance

Its mid-season blooming period allows the Rai tulip to integrate harmoniously between early botanical tulips and late hybrids. The medium height of the flower stem makes this variety highly versatile: it performs excellently in mixed borders, remains sturdy against wind, and is perfect for premium-segment bouquets.

This variety is the choice for those seeking a balance between exotic decorative appeal and predictable growing results. Rai does not require the specialized maintenance typical of temperamental exotic species, ensuring stable flowering and a striking visual impact.
