Oksamit

The Velvet aster is an annual plant growing 60–65 cm tall with a dense, spreading bush. Its dark crimson inflorescences, 12–13 cm in diameter, consist of long, narrow tubular flowers twisted into a tube; the central disk is fully closed, giving bouquets and flower beds a rich decorative look.

Velvet is considered one of the best cut-flower varieties. Thanks to the dense structure of its inflorescences, it holds up well in vases and is excellent for decorating flower beds and gardens. The plant is not intended for indoor growing – it is best planted in open ground or in containers under direct sunlight.

As an annual, Velvet develops quickly: seeds germinate in about 8–12 days after sowing. The plant is not cold-hardy or drought-tolerant, so it is best grown in moderate climates with regular watering. With proper care, the bushes retain their decorative appearance until the end of the season.
