Tulip Rainbow Warrior

Steel Character in Vibrant Colors

The Rainbow Warrior tulip belongs to the Darwin Hybrid class, which immediately defines its primary advantage: phenomenal resilience. Unlike delicate fringed or exotic parrot varieties, this tulip is not intimidated by spring temperature swings or late frosts, which often ruin plantings in temperate zones.

Visual Dynamics

The standout feature of this cultivar is its unique color transition. The petals combine a saturated red hue with a brilliant yellow base and edging. In the bud stage, it appears restrained, but once fully opened in the sun, it transforms into a burning torch. Its tall stem makes it excellent not only for landscaping but also for cut flowers — bouquets of Rainbow Warrior stay fresh for up to two weeks.

Who is this variety for?

• Landscapers and designers: ideal for mass planting. Due to its significant height and sturdy stem, it doesn't fall over from rain or wind.
• Commercial growers: high propagation rates and excellent adaptability to both open field and greenhouse cultivation make it a profitable choice.
• Home gardeners: requires minimal maintenance, winters well, and possesses strong natural resistance to tulip breaking virus.

Keep in mind: like all Darwin Hybrids, Rainbow Warrior needs space. In overly shaded areas, the stems may grow too leggy, losing their natural robustness. For the most spectacular flowering, choose spots with full sun exposure.
