Tulip Rajka

Elegant Contrast: Why 'Raiqa' Stands Out in the Triumph Class

The 'Raiqa' tulip (Raiqa) holds a strong position in the mid-season Triumph class. Its primary hallmark is a striking bi-color pattern: a deep burgundy tone complemented by a distinct white edge, creating a dramatic visual focal point in any garden. Unlike monochromatic alternatives, this variety maintains its ornamental impact even in overcast weather.

Agronomic Advantages

The variety demonstrates remarkable resilience. Breeders have achieved high resistance to powdery mildew and apple scab, which is critical for regions with damp springs. A sturdy, mid-height stem allows the plant to withstand spring wind gusts without losing its vertical posture, making it optimal for mass planting and formal floral arrangements.

Target Growers

• Landscape Designers: Due to its predictable blooming cycle, it is ideal for creating professional-grade flower beds.
• Home Gardeners: Its resistance to common fungal diseases makes it low-maintenance and minimizes the need for fungicide treatments.
• Commercial Flower Growers: 'Raiqa' is excellent for cut flowers, retaining freshness for an extended period in bouquets.

It is worth noting that to achieve maximum petal vibrancy, the variety requires well-drained soil. In heavy clay soils, bulbs may be prone to moisture retention, so it is recommended to add a layer of sand to the bottom of the planting hole to improve drainage.
