Tulip White Parrot

Exotic aesthetics for your garden

White Parrot is a classic of the parrot tulip category, representing the gold standard of eccentric elegance. Developed in the mid-20th century, this cultivar has spent decades maintaining its reputation as one of the most sought-after white tulips globally. It is prized for its unique perianth morphology: large, deeply fringed, and lightly ruffled petals that resemble the tousled plumage of an exotic bird, which inspired the naming of the entire group.

Technical specifications and application

As a mid-season bloomer, White Parrot opens its buds in late spring. With a medium height, the stem is resilient against spring winds, making it highly versatile for both landscape design and floral arrangements. Its pure white coloring, accented by subtle greenish veins at the base, lends a graphic, architectural quality to the flower.

• Flowering: mid-season, reliable bud development.
• Visual impact: the deep texture of the petals reaches 15–20 cm in diameter when fully open.
• Application: striking focal point in flower beds, monochromatic compositions, and container gardening.

The reputation of White Parrot is built on reliability; the cultivar is predictable in its growth cycle and pairs excellently with contrasting dark tulips or perennial conifers. When planting, it is essential to select a spot protected from strong gusts to preserve the delicate texture of the petals until the end of the blooming season.
