Tulip Antarctica

The Arctic Standard of the Tulip World

The «Antarctica» tulip is a quintessential representative of the Triumph class, favored by growers who prioritize consistency and cold, crystalline perfection. Its primary strength lies in the purity of its snowy white petals, which remain pristine throughout the flowering period without the greenish or yellow undertones common in other early-season varieties.

Why choose Antarctica?

For commercial growers, the aesthetic appeal of a white tulip is only half the battle; the other half is resilience. Unlike many delicate hybrids that succumb easily to environmental stressors, «Antarctica» offers robust resistance to root rot, downy mildew, and powdery mildew. This makes it a low-risk investment for intensive cultivation.

• Structural Integrity: With a sturdy, medium-height stem, it effectively resists lodging, ensuring straight, professional-looking blooms for the cut-flower market.
• Flowering Cycle: As a mid-season bloomer, it bridges the gap between early forced bulbs and late-spring varieties, providing flexibility for seasonal sales planning.
• Post-Harvest Quality: High petal density and strong vascular structure allow for a significantly longer vase life compared to similar white cultivars.

«Antarctica» is the go-to choice for those seeking a reliable workhorse. While it adheres to the traditional, elegant cup shape preferred by florists, those looking for fringed or parrot-like extravagance might find it too traditional. However, for mono-floral arrangements and commercial forcing, its performance is unmatched. It represents the perfect balance of aesthetic appeal and agricultural durability, proving that true class is timeless.
