Tulip NHD

A Classic of the Spring Garden: «NHD» Tulip

In the Triumph tulip selection line, the «NHD» variety holds the position of a reliable, time-tested standard. This hybrid, which combines the classic goblet shape with high resistance to pathogens, remains a preferred choice for both professional floriculturists and private collectors.

Agronomic Performance and Protection

The core strength of this variety lies in its genetic resistance to a complex of diseases that frequently affect bulbous plants in temperate climates. Cultivating «NHD» minimizes the risks of crop loss due to its inherent immunity to:

• Peronospora (downy mildew);
• Phomopsis and Phoma;
• Rust.

These traits make the variety suitable for both commercial forcing and landscape design, where predictable results are essential.

Visual Characteristics

«NHD» belongs to the mid-season blooming group. The plant is of medium height, providing sturdy stems that withstand spring winds without lodging. The petal coloration is a striking combination of red and white, creating a graphic, highly recognizable pattern. The Triumph type ensures the classic bud shape is maintained at all stages of blooming, a quality highly valued in floristry for creating spring arrangements.

Stability of performance and adaptability to various soil types make «NHD» a fundamental choice for those seeking a proven variety that requires minimal complex technical support while delivering aesthetic excellence in the middle of the spring season.
