Tulip Nico Vos

Professional choice: Why farmers choose Nitson Vos

The 'Nitson Vos' tulip, belonging to the Triumph class, is designed for commercial operations that prioritize reliability and a high-quality yield. Unlike more sensitive varieties, this hybrid offers excellent field performance, making it a staple for growers managing large production areas in both greenhouses and open fields.

Disease resistance as a cost-saving factor

The standout feature of Nitson Vos is its genetic tolerance to common bulb diseases. By integrating this variety into your rotation, you effectively minimize the risk of yield loss and reduce the need for aggressive fungicide applications:

• Resistance to Anthracnose and Downy Mildew: Keeps the foliage healthy throughout the entire growing season, ensuring the bulbs get enough energy for regrowth.
• Immunity to Powdery Mildew: Prevents deformities in leaves and petals, preserving the premium look of the flower even in humid microclimates.

Operational scenario

As a late-season bloomer, Nitson Vos is the perfect tool for extending your sales window. While early and mid-season tulips vacate the market, this variety remains fresh and available. With its medium height and sturdy stem, it is easy to transport and arrange, requiring less labor during the harvesting and packaging phases. Its consistent pink color and classic cup-shaped bud are highly favored by retail florists, ensuring steady demand at the end of the tulip season.
