Tulip Hemisphere

Elegance in every petal: The Hemisphere tulip

The 'Hemisphere' tulip belongs to the legendary Triumph class, widely recognized as the gold standard for spring gardens and commercial forcing. Its uniqueness lies in its striking coloration: the combination of deep red with pristine white edges creates a visual depth, allowing it to stand out against monochromatic varieties.

Agronomic potential and resilience

The main advantage of this hybrid is its resilience. Unlike many other Triumph group members, 'Hemisphere' demonstrates strong genetic resistance to several significant diseases:

• Downy mildew (Peronospora): Reliable protection under high humidity conditions.
• Phomopsis: Resistance to fungal infections affecting stems and foliage.
• Phomosis: Minimal risk of losing marketable appearance during active growth.

With its medium-height stem, this variety is highly versatile. It excels in both landscape design and as cut flowers, maintaining firm buds and petal freshness for an extended period.

Why choose Hemisphere?

'Hemisphere' is an ideal choice for professional flower growers who prioritize predictability. Its mid-season blooming window allows for precise planning for spring markets. Thanks to its natural immunity to common pathogens, the need for intensive fungicide treatments is reduced when proper cultivation practices are followed. This tulip is forgiving of minor maintenance errors, yet it reaches its full potential when provided with optimal temperature control and sufficient light.
