Tulip Christmas Yellow

Technical Profile of the Christmas Yellow Tulip

The 'Christmas Yellow' tulip, belonging to the Triumph class, represents a horticultural solution designed to combine mid-season blooming with high biological robustness. The plant features firm, well-structured petals in a classic cup shape, engineered to maintain turgor under varying environmental conditions in both greenhouse and open-field environments.

Biological Defense and Resistance

The primary advantage of this hybrid is its comprehensive tolerance to common bulbous pathogens, which serves as a critical cost-reduction tool for fungicide application management:

• Fungal Resistance: The cultivar exhibits pronounced immunity to Fusarium wilt and anthracnose, which is crucial for high-density planting regimes.
• Disease Management: Proven resistance to Alternaria blight and powdery mildew ensures the vegetative mass remains healthy until the end of the flowering cycle.
• Pest Tolerance: Natural immunity to spider mite infestations simplifies pest control protocols in greenhouse settings.

Agronomic Characteristics

As a mid-season bloomer, 'Christmas Yellow' features a medium stem height, ensuring excellent transportability and structural integrity to prevent lodging. The intense yellow pigment of the petals is highly stable, resisting fading under direct sunlight, which adds significant value for both professional floristry and landscape design.

The practical utility of this hybrid lies in its crop predictability. A strong root system combined with an optimized metabolic rate allows the plant to efficiently uptake nutrients, thereby streamlining development stages and enabling precise scheduling for cutting dates.
