Tulip Yellow King

A Benchmark in the Triumph Class

Yellow King is a distinguished member of the Triumph tulip family, recognized globally for its structural integrity and brilliant yellow hue. Having secured its place in the professional floral market, this variety is highly regarded for its consistent performance in both forcing programs and open-field landscape applications.

Agronomic Reliability and Health

For commercial growers, the predictability of Yellow King is its most valuable asset. It has been rigorously evaluated for its resistance to common horticultural pathogens, allowing producers to optimize their crop management protocols. Key advantages include:

• Powdery Mildew: The variety exhibits robust natural defenses, reducing the need for intensive chemical intervention.
• Fusarium Wilt: Significant breeding efforts ensure that bulbs maintain high health standards through the storage and growing phases.
• Anthracnose: Its resilience to this pathogen keeps both foliage and petals pristine, even in challenging environmental conditions.

Market Positioning

As a mid-season flowering tulip, Yellow King serves as a reliable link in the production supply chain. Its medium height is perfectly optimized for standardized packaging, making it a preferred choice for wholesalers and florists alike. In a competitive market, this tulip remains a top-tier product due to its vibrant color saturation and long vase life, ensuring that growers achieve a high yield of marketable blooms with minimal waste. It is, ultimately, a foundational variety for any professional bulb collection.
