KRIMSKAYA VESNA

The 'Krimskaya Vesna' rose is a Floribunda group variety developed by breeder Zinaida Konstantinovna Klimenko. The bushes are compact, reaching heights of 60 to 100 cm with a diameter of about 60-70 cm. The foliage is dark green, glossy, medium-sized, and dense. Young canes have weak anthocyanin coloring, while the thorns are of medium quantity, needle-shaped, and reddish. The flowers are double, with diameters ranging from 6 to 12 cm, round in shape, and arranged in clusters of 7-10 flowers on sturdy and long stems. The petals are round, slightly incised or not incised at all, with delicate wavy edges. The main petal coloration varies from creamy-white with a pale pink center to light pink with a red edging along the edge. Blooming is abundant and prolonged; on the Southern coast of Crimea, it can last more than 200 days with four blooming waves per season. The scent is weak to medium. The rose is resistant to fungal diseases such as powdery mildew and black spot, has medium drought tolerance, and medium winter hardiness, making it suitable for cultivation in various climatic conditions. The variety blooms once per stem but overall demonstrates remontant blooming. The 'Krimskaya Vesna' rose is widely used in landscape design for decorating parterres, creating rabatok, as well as for solitaires and group plantings. It is excellent for espalier culture and looks great in cut flowers. Due to its decorative qualities and disease resistance, the variety is recommended for widespread use in greening and is an excellent choice for gardeners seeking a beautiful and undemanding flowering bush.
