Tulip Blue Eyes

Aesthetic Contrast: The Blue Aces Advantage

Blue Aces belongs to the Triumph tulip class, making it a reliable favorite for both landscape design and professional greenhouse forcing. Its defining feature is the striking color transition: the petals merge a deep, saturated lilac hue with a crisp, pure white border, providing a visual depth that many solid-colored varieties lack.

Agronomic Profile and Disease Resistance

For growers and gardeners, the core advantage of the Blue Aces variety lies in its robust genetic health. The selection process for this cultivar focused on mitigating the risks typical of the Triumph class. The plant shows high resistance to Fusarium wilt and powdery mildew—the two most significant threats to spring bloomers caused by fluctuating humidity and erratic temperatures. This makes Blue Aces a predictable crop with reduced need for intensive fungicide application and lower post-harvest losses.

Why Choose Blue Aces?

• For Commercial Growers: The mid-season blooming period allows for optimal scheduling, fitting perfectly into the supply chain after early varieties have peaked.
• For Landscape Designers: Its medium stem height offers excellent resistance to lodging, essential for maintaining aesthetics in open, windy areas.
• For Home Gardeners: The variety is low-maintenance, hardy, and adapts well to various soil types.

A minor trade-off involves strict storage requirements for the bulbs; temperature fluctuations during storage can affect stem straightness. However, with basic environmental control, Blue Aces remains one of the most reliable and visually distinct bicolored tulips available on the market today.
