Tulip Abra Elite

Abra Elite: The Triumph Tulip for High-Yield Production

The «Abra Elite» tulip, a representative of the prestigious Triumph class, is designed for those who refuse to compromise between visual elegance and botanical robustness. With its distinctive yellow and lilac petals, this mid-season bloomer offers a visual appeal that stands out in both floral arrangements and field displays.

Key Advantages of the Variety

• Resilience Against Pathogens: The strongest asset of Abra Elite is its natural resistance to major threats, including Alternaria, anthracnose, downy mildew (peronospora), and Fusarium. This genetic hardiness allows for a significant reduction in fungicide use, promoting cleaner production cycles.
• Commercial Consistency: As a mid-season variety, it fills the critical demand gap after early varieties conclude. Its medium-height stems are rigid and uniform, ensuring efficient harvesting and minimal post-harvest losses.
• Aesthetic Versatility: The unique bi-color pattern makes it a favorite for bouquet designers seeking distinct color profiles that remain stable throughout the development cycle.

Cultivation Insights

Success with Abra Elite relies on precise soil management. While it boasts high immunity to fungal infections, stagnant moisture remains a risk factor for bacterial rot; thus, excellent drainage is paramount. The hybrid excels in controlled environments, providing predictable growth rates for commercial forcing. A crucial point for growers is monitoring soil acidity, as it directly influences the intensity of the lilac pigment. If the pH balance drifts, the color vibrancy may diminish.

This variety is ideal for professional growers aiming for high-quality cut flowers without the constant threat of disease outbreaks. For those operating in humid regions, Abra Elite serves as a reliable solution, offering far better rot resistance than most standard Triumph tulips. It is a robust, low-maintenance choice that guarantees a reliable crop for any mid-season marketing strategy.
