Triticale Kapral

Winter Triticale Kapral: Phytosanitary Stability for Modern Farming

In the grain production market, balancing yield potential with crop protection costs is a constant challenge. The «Kapral» winter triticale, developed by «Franc», is designed to tackle this issue through genetic resistance. This variety is specifically engineered to perform under high disease pressure, where conventional wheat might require intensive fungicide intervention.

The standout feature of Kapral is its robust resistance to common fungal pathogens, specifically bunt (stinking smut) and stem rust. For farms operating in environments with significant humidity or complex crop rotations, this variety acts as a natural shield, keeping the leaf apparatus intact and ensuring that nutrients are channeled into grain production rather than fighting infections.

Core Benefits and Agronomic Value

• Disease Resistance: Exceptional resilience against rust and smut species significantly lowers the necessity for heavy chemical applications, reducing overall production costs per hectare.
• Winter Hardiness: As a winter-type cereal, Kapral exhibits excellent survival rates during the cold season, ensuring a strong and uniform spring regrowth phase.
• Field Efficiency: The variety's ability to stay disease-free in high-pressure years makes it a safer, more predictable option for commercial grain production.

Kapral is an ideal choice for agricultural producers who prioritize sustainable management and resource optimization. By utilizing the genetic potential developed by the originators (including Ssts Rostovskij, Semko-Junior, and Agrofirma Poisk), farmers can effectively minimize risks associated with stem rust and plant smut. Kapral is not just a high-yield variety; it is an efficient, low-maintenance solution for growers looking to maximize their margins in a volatile market.
