Description P8012E
The P8012E hybrid sweet corn is an early-maturing hybrid with a waxy grain type, intended for starch and syrup production as well as for food use. The plant is characterized by good early growth, high stature, and strong stalk attachment, which ensures resistance to lodging. The hybrid belongs to FAO group 220 and shows yields at the level of 10-12 tons per hectare.

P8012E exhibits high drought tolerance and good water use efficiency at physiological maturity, facilitating effective harvest. The hybrid is resistant to a range of fungal diseases, including bacterial blight, southern leaf blight, ear smut, and Fusarium ear rot, and has moderate resistance to bacterial wilt. Seeds are treated using Optimum® AQUAmax® technology, which provides additional protection against diseases, especially under monoculture conditions.

P8012E is recommended for cultivation on fields with a high risk of fungal diseases and under minimal soil tillage. The hybrid is well-adapted to high-density planting, though it may perform poorly under very sparse planting. Optimal plant density under adequate moisture is 65-70 thousand per hectare, while under limited moisture it is 60-65 thousand. Planting should be conducted at optimal times, and late harvest is not recommended.
