Terнопольский 7 tobacco – a large-leaf variety developed specifically for Ukraine's climate conditions and fertile chernozem soils. The plant reaches a height of 1.5 to 2.15 m, leaves have an oval sessile shape, 36–45 cm long and about 20 cm wide, colored light green, turning yellowish-brown upon drying. In dried form, the tobacco retains a bright aroma and soft taste with sour-sweet fruity notes characteristic of the 'Virginia Gold' variety, but differs with its own rich scent.
The variety is characterized by high resistance to adverse weather conditions and diseases: tobacco mosaic, peronosporosis, as well as viruses. Nicotine content varies from 0.9% to 1.6%, proteins - 10-12%, carbohydrates - 1-5%. Thanks to these properties, Terнопольский 7 tobacco is suitable for a wide range of applications: hand-rolled cigarettes, machine cigarette wrappers, paper and cellulose blanks, pipes, as well as a component in most loose tobacco blends.
The drying process is carried out naturally over 1–3 days, which allows preserving all taste qualities and aroma. The tobacco does not irritate the throat and respiratory tract, does not cause discomfort, and leaves a slight sweetish aftertaste upon use. Thanks to its stability and long shelf life, it is a reliable choice for both professional smokers and lovers of quality tobacco.
