TRAPEZOND 182 is a late, high-yield tobacco variety belonging to the Trapezond family and short-day plants. The plant is characterized by an ellipsoidal shape and an intense type of leaf maturation: the last flushes reach maturity 112 days after planting. Leaves are oval with smooth edges, yellowish-green in color, and stick out from the stem.
On average, the plant produces 25 to 30 leaves measuring 43–47 cm (in the average rank) and 26–28 cm in width. The leaf size at harvest is approximately 45×30 cm, which corresponds to the standard for short-day varieties. Leaves have a high nicotine content – about 1.8%. The variety is resistant to seedling proliferation, peronosporosis, and tobacco mosaic, and it tolerates air sun-shade drying conditions well.
TRAPEZOND 182 is the ideal choice for those who value high yield and stable product quality. Thanks to its disease resistance and good adaptability to different climatic conditions, this variety allows obtaining quality tobacco with a rich aroma and optimal nicotine content.
