Tobacco TRAPEZOND 182

Classic tobacco growing with defensive potential

The «Trapezond 182» variety, developed by VNIITTI, is rightfully considered a benchmark for those who prefer traditional flavor and predictability in cultivation. Unlike many modern hybrids that focus solely on yield, this variety combines time-tested aroma with serious genetic protection.

Key features and agrotechnics

This late-maturing variety requires patience: the vegetation period is 110-120 days. This duration is justified — during this time, the leaf manages to accumulate a rich flavor and aromatic profile that connoisseurs find "rich". A nicotine content of 1.0-2.0% makes it a versatile raw material: it is soft enough for everyday consumption while possessing the necessary strength to form a complete blend.

Why choose this specific variety

• Disease resistance: The main advantage of "Trapezond 182" is its innate immunity to downy mildew and tobacco mosaic virus. This significantly reduces the risk of crop loss, especially in years with adverse weather conditions.
• Stability: The originator's breeding ensures uniformity of plantings, which simplifies maintenance and subsequent fermentation.

Who should choose this variety? Primarily farmers and private producers who value purity and a predictable result. It does not require specific "greenhouse" conditions, but it performs best when harvest timelines are strictly followed. For those looking for a balance between cultivation complexity and the quality of the final product, this VNIITTI selection is a reliable tool.
