Description
TRAPEZOND 15 – an early-maturing tobacco variety intended for air-curing. The plant has a conical shape and reaches a height of about 1.5 m, which ensures ease of processing and harvest collection.
Key characteristics include having 14–16 technical leaves per bush, petiole leaf type with weak puckering. The variety is distinguished by high resistance to major pathogens: downy mildew, tobacco mosaic virus, and black root rot (Thielaviopsis basicola Fer.). This makes it a reliable choice for farmers seeking to minimize crop losses.
Nicotine content in TRAPEZOND 15 is in the range of 1.2–1.5%, which provides moderate tobacco strength. Seeds of this variety are supplied in Euro-packs and are suitable for both cigarette production and pipe tobacco, thanks to their qualities and disease resistance.
