Timothy Grass Revolin

Stable Yields in Challenging Conditions

Timothy grass variety 'Revolin' from the German breeder Euro Grass Breeding KG is the choice for farms focused on high-quality hay and haylage production, particularly in areas where moisture availability is a limiting factor. Unlike many other grass species, this variety exhibits high drought tolerance, allowing for consistent biomass production even during severe summer heat.

Practical Applications

Investing in 'Revolin' makes sense for the following farm scenarios:

• Establishing long-term meadows with high shoot density.
• Creating pastures resilient to intensive grazing.
• Integrating into forage mixtures to balance the nutritional value of livestock diets.

Thanks to the breeding efforts of Deutsche Saatveredelung, this variety demonstrates excellent regrowth potential after mowing. This is critical for producers planning 2–3 cuts per season. The nutritional quality of the forage remains stable even with delayed harvesting, providing agronomists with a larger window for field operations.

Field Performance

'Revolin' adapts well to various soil types, showing superior performance on moderately moist loams. The variety develops a robust root system, making it an ideal candidate for soil erosion control on vulnerable sites. To achieve maximum biomass output, it is recommended to follow standard seeding rates for high-yield grasses, with a preference for early spring sowing to ensure strong establishment and deep rooting before the dry season begins.
