Timothy Grass Oleshka 14

Stability and productivity in changing climate conditions

"Oleshka 14" is a time-tested variety developed by the Institute of Climate-Oriented Agriculture of the NAAS of Ukraine. Registered in 2001, this variety of cocksfoot (Dactylis glomerata L.) remains a sought-after solution for farmers focused on creating a high-quality forage base in the Steppe, Forest-Steppe, and Polissya zones.

Why choose this specific variety?

• Adaptability: The variety has successfully passed state trials in all key agro-climatic zones of Ukraine, confirming its high ecological plasticity.
• Specialization: The primary use is haymaking. "Oleshka 14" forms a dense stand, which is excellent for harvesting hay with high nutritional value.
• Maturity: Its mid-season development allows for optimal distribution of machinery and labor resources during the active forage harvesting season.

Unlike early-maturing varieties, "Oleshka 14" demonstrates a more balanced growth rate, enabling stable green mass yields even under moderate moisture fluctuations. It is the choice for farms looking for a reliable, "workhorse" variety that does not require specific growing conditions but guarantees a predictable result with standard agricultural practices.
