Fodder beet F1 Action

Stable yields with minimal effort

For farmers focused on the fresh market and processing, predictability is key. The Action F1 hybrid from the Dutch breeding company Bejo is the choice for those who want to eliminate risks associated with crop loss and poor presentation. Unlike many varieties that develop coarse rings under stress, this hybrid maintains an ideal, uniform flesh structure.

Key advantages in the field

• High sanitary threshold: Genetic resistance to downy mildew (peronospora) and cercospora allows for a significant reduction in fungicide use, thereby lowering production costs.
• Technical efficiency: A vegetation period of 100-110 days allows for precise harvest scheduling, avoiding the issues associated with over-maturation.
• Market appeal: The deep dark-red color, devoid of noticeable light rings, makes this beet highly sought after by producers of juices and pre-packaged salads.

Action F1 is optimal for mid-to-large scale operations where mechanized harvesting is essential. The round roots adapt well to soil density without deforming during development. While not an early-maturing record-breaker, its moderate growth rate contributes to superior density and storage capacity—crucial for maintaining quality until spring.

If you are looking for a balance between crop quality and agronomic simplicity, this Bejo product will meet your expectations by delivering high marketability with minimal culling rates.
