Description Bullet
Late-maturing beet variety 'Bullet' has a vegetative period of 100 to 120 days depending on the stage of maturity. The roots are round, smooth-surfaced, and weigh between 360 to 500 grams. The beet's flesh is rich dark-red with a burgundy hue, juicy, tender, and sweet, without concentric rings, which gives it excellent flavor. The variety is disease-resistant and has good storability, ensuring prolonged storage without quality loss.

For successful cultivation of 'Bullet' beet, seeds should be sown at a depth of 3-4 cm when soil temperature reaches 6-8 °C. The seeding rate is 1-1.5 g per square meter. Special attention should be paid to ensuring adequate moisture during seed germination, as well as during root formation and growth. The plant thrives on fertile, well-fertilized, light soils, preferring conditions with good aeration and nutrient content.

'Bullet' beet is typically grown in wide-row spacing with row spacing around 45 cm. Plant density is formed at the 2-3 true leaf stage, leaving 9-12 plants per linear meter. Harvesting takes place from the third decade of September until the onset of frost, allowing for high-quality produce with yields up to 45 tons per hectare. This variety is versatile in use and suitable for long-term storage, making it attractive for farmers and gardeners.
