Institute of Crop Science named after V. Ya. Yuryev, Institute of Field and Vegetable Crops, Novi Sad, Serbia, JSC "Druida". Registered in the State Register of Plant Varieties of Ukraine since 2007 for the Steppe and Forest-Steppe zones of Ukraine.
Trial characteristics: Variety — striped. Plant height 176-181 cm. Heads large, flattened shape, diameter 18-23 cm. Shelling 21-22%, huskiness 99.7%. 1000 seed mass 65-78 g. Biological features: Hybrid belongs to the mid-early maturity group, vegetation period duration 109-110 days. It features uniform flowering and maturation. It has high drought resistance, weak shattering during storage, and resistance to lodging. It has genetically determined resistance to bird damage and false powdery mildew, and tolerance to gray and white mold. Hybrid intended for oilseed use.
Yield and quality: In the competitive trials of the institute from 2001-2004, seed yield was 38.7-40.4 centners per hectare, exceeding the "Kovcheg" standard by 5.6-7.5 centners per hectare. Oil content in seeds 48.19-49.13%. Maternal parent yield 18-21 centners per hectare. Percentage of clean seed 65-70%. Parental lines are sown simultaneously on hybridization plots.
