Slavson

Slavson sunflower is an early-maturing interlinear hybrid of linoleic type with high yield potential and oil orientation. The period from emergence to full maturity is 99-103 days, making it one of the best among early-maturing hybrids. Plant height varies from 160 to 180 cm, and the head diameter reaches 17-24 cm. Oil content in seeds is about 49.9%, ensuring high oil yield.

The hybrid exhibits high resistance to major diseases and adverse factors: lodging, seed shattering, false powdery mildew, downy mildew, and root rots. It also shows good drought tolerance and high resistance to wireworms, enhancing reliability in various climatic conditions. Recommended planting density is 55 thousand plants per hectare, which promotes optimal development and maximum yield.

Slavson has been included in the Ukrainian Plant Variety Register since 2011-2012 and is recommended for cultivation in Steppe and Forest-Steppe zones. The cultivation technology is conventional, allowing its use in traditional agronomic systems. Potential seed yield reaches 4.8-4.15 tons per hectare, making this hybrid an attractive choice for producers aiming for high and stable oilseed sunflower yields.
