Solexis

Solexis (NS X 6376, Solaris) sunflower is a high-yielding hybrid of the new generation, developed by the Institute of New Seed of Serbia. It is intended for cultivation in the Forest Steppe and Steppe zones of Ukraine and is distinguished by high drought and water deficiency resistance due to its strong and well-developed root system and broad leaf apparatus. The hybrid's vegetative period is 105-108 days, allowing timely harvest and soil preparation for subsequent crops. High initial growth energy promotes excellent plant emergence, helping to effectively suppress weeds.

The Solexis hybrid is resistant to a wide spectrum of diseases and pests, including 7 races of downy mildew (A-G), true powdery mildew, rust, sunflower moth, Phomopsis, and Macrophomina. This resistance allows for stable and high yields even on soils with existing infections, preventing the spread of new races of downy mildew. High seed set and attractiveness to pollinators ensure high-quality seed formation with oil content up to 50%, which is a key indicator for oilseed crops.

Solexis has medium plant height (140-150 cm) and 1000-seed mass within 60-75 g. The hybrid is not demanding in soil preparation and adapts well to conventional sowing technologies. Due to its high oil content and stable yield up to 5.5 t/ha, Solexis is a profitable choice for farmers aiming to obtain high-quality and stable sunflower yields under variable climate conditions and limited moisture.
