"Sontsedar" is a prominent representative of the classic breeding school of the Institute of Oilseed Crops of NAAS of Ukraine. This sunflower variety was created in response to the demand from farmers for predictable and manageable planting material capable of delivering stable results in the steppe and forest-steppe zones of Ukraine. • Vegetation Period: 90–100 days. As an early-maturing variety, it allows producers to avoid peak summer droughts and optimize the harvesting schedule.
• Morphology: A compact plant with a height of 90–100 cm. Its short stature is a critical advantage: this type of crop is resistant to lodging even during high winds and simplifies the combining process.
• Seed Type: Large seed size is a key characteristic, ensuring a high-quality marketable appearance and a high oil yield during processing.

When developing this variety, the Institute of Oilseed Crops focused on adaptability. Sontsedar performs consistently well across various soil types, demonstrating remarkable ecological plasticity. Rather than being a premium hybrid with an excessive price tag, this is a balanced tool for farmers who prioritize profitability and risk mitigation.
