The hybrid sunflower 'Soltan' is a mid-early maturity oilseed variety with a vegetation period of 115-120 days. The plant reaches a height of 160 to 180 cm, featuring a strong and robust stem, with a flower head diameter up to 25 cm. The seeds possess high oil content — from 50 to 55% — ensuring a significant oil yield upon processing. The hybrid demonstrates rapid early growth and a powerful, deep-rooting system capable of extracting moisture down to 3 meters, enhancing resistance to drought and adverse weather conditions. Hybrid 'Soltan' exhibits high resistance to a wide range of diseases, including downy mildew, powdery mildew, Phomopsis, Septoria, bacterial blight, chlorosis, brown spot, gray and brown rot, and sclerotinia. Additionally, the plant is resistant to herbicides such as Granstar (tribenuron-methyl), allowing effective weed control and maintaining clean crops. Due to these qualities, 'Soltan' shows stable and high yields even under challenging climatic conditions, including arid regions. The hybrid is characterized by ecological plasticity and heat tolerance, making it popular among agricultural producers. The plant is self-pollinating and does not require bee involvement for yield formation. The potential yield of 'Soltan' ranges from 35 to 54 centners per hectare at optimal planting density up to 55,000 plants per hectare.
