Sunflower Melita Clp

MELITA CLP is a mid-late sunflower hybrid of the Clearfield Plus system, distinguished by its high technological efficiency and profitability. Plants are characterized by strong early development, high height (170-190 cm), and a basket tilt halfway down with a diameter of 18-21 cm. The hybrid has a rapid maturation period and high oil content, with oil content in seeds reaching 48-52%, ensuring high yields up to 4.3 t/ha with proper agronomy. One of the key features of MELITA CLP is its high resistance to major sunflower diseases, including fusarium, fusariosis, sclerotinia, alternaria, rust, and downy mildew. The hybrid also demonstrates excellent resistance to stress conditions and lodging, making it a reliable choice for various climatic zones. However, dry rot susceptibility should be considered when selecting cultivation regions. Recommended seeding rates depend on moisture conditions: 40-45 thousand seeds per hectare under insufficient moisture, and 50-60 thousand/ha under adequate moisture. The 1000-seed mass is 55.8-60 g, which contributes to good germination and uniform crop development. Due to its combination of high productivity, disease resistance, and adaptability to adverse conditions, the MELITA CLP hybrid is an effective solution for achieving stable sunflower yields.
