Sunflower 63 JI 13 is an early-maturing, simple, two-line hybrid of linoleic type, intended for cultivation in various climatic zones of Ukraine, including Polissia, Forest-Steppe, and Steppe. The vegetation period ranges from 106 to 115 days, allowing for harvest at optimal times. Plants of this hybrid are tall, non-branching, with medium-sized heads oriented downward, and medium-sized light-green leaves. Seeds are elongated, thin, with a main black coloration, characteristic of this type of sunflower. Hybrid 63 JI 13 features high oil content in seeds — oil content reaches 48.5–49%, ensuring high yield potential up to 48 ц/га. It possesses high drought resistance and resistance to lodging, making it a reliable choice for regions with variable weather conditions. Additionally, the hybrid is adapted for modern soil processing technologies such as No-till and Mini-till, which help preserve soil structure and reduce agronomic costs. Special attention has been given to the hybrid’s resistance to diseases and stress factors. 63 JI 13 demonstrates high tolerance to downy mildew (system-2) and new aggressive strains of false powdery mildew, as well as to fusarium, fusarium wilt, and white mold. Resistance to these diseases is rated as high, significantly reducing the risk of yield loss. The hybrid is also genetically resistant to herbicides based on tribenuron-methyl, which simplifies weed control and enhances crop protection efficiency.
