RH 528 is a new early-maturing sunflower hybrid developed by breeders of LLC 'AF NPP AGROMIR' and submitted for state testing in 2023. The hybrid is based on the variety Berkana but features significant improvements, including increased resistance to post-emergence herbicides of the imidazolinone group, making it suitable for Clearfield and Clearfield+ technologies. RH 528 stands out for its record-breaking early growth rate, strong root system, and high drought tolerance, ensuring stable yields across various climatic conditions in the Steppe and Forest-Steppe zones.
Plant height reaches 170-180 cm, seeds have medium size and an elongated oval shape. The hybrid belongs to the intensive type and is intended for oilseed use, with high oil content in seeds — 52-53%. Thanks to its comprehensive resistance to most common diseases, RH 528 provides reliable protection and high productivity. Yield in trials reached 42-43.6 c/ha, confirming its potential for commercial cultivation.
Early maturity and high oil content make RH 528 an attractive choice for farmers aiming for efficient crop rotation and maximum profitability.
