Sunflower Melita Clp

Melita CLP sunflower is a mid-late, high-yielding hybrid developed using Clearfield Plus technology. It is characterized by high technological efficiency and adaptability, ensuring excellent adaptation to various growing conditions, including stressful ones. Plants reach a height of 170-190 cm, have a basket tilted halfway down with a diameter of 18-21 cm, and a thousand-seed mass of 55-65 g. The recommended sowing rate varies from 40-45 thousand/ha under insufficient moisture to 50-55 thousand/ha under adequate conditions, which contributes to achieving maximum yields of up to 4.3 t/ha.

The Melita CLP hybrid exhibits high resistance to major sunflower diseases, including fusarium, phomopsis, sclerotinia, alternaria, rust, and downy mildew, significantly reducing the risk of yield losses. However, it is susceptible to dry rot. Due to its resistance to lodging and stress conditions, this hybrid ensures stable growth and high productivity even in challenging climatic conditions.

The primary purpose of Melita CLP is the production of oil-rich sunflower products, with oil content in seeds reaching 48-52%. Early and vigorous development of plants in the initial stages promotes the formation of robust vegetative mass and high yields. The hybrid is widely used in various regions, including the North Caucasus and Volga regions, where it demonstrates stable yields.
