RT 7910 is a hybrid sunflower developed by breeders of the Institute of Field Crops in Serbia. It belongs to simple hybrids with a medium-early maturity period, ranging from 108 to 111 days. This hybrid is characterized by high oil content, reaching 47-49%, which ensures a good oil yield during processing. The yield potential of RT 7910 is approximately 5.2 tons per hectare, making it attractive for commercial cultivation.
One of the key features of this hybrid is its high resistance to adverse factors. RT 7910 exhibits excellent resistance to lodging, which helps maintain crop quality under unfavorable weather conditions. Additionally, the hybrid demonstrates high resistance to downy mildew and drought, expanding its cultivation possibilities across various climatic zones, including the Polissia, Forest Steppe, and Steppe regions of Ukraine. It also shows high resistance to diseases such as Phomopsis and rust, with ratings of 9 and 8 respectively, reducing the need for frequent fungicide applications.
RT 7910 is recommended for cultivation in diverse agroclimatic conditions due to its adaptability and resistance. Its seeds are suitable for sowing using modern technologies, ensuring effective herbicide use and minimizing yield losses.
