Sunflower MAS 96 P is a high-yielding hybrid with excellent adaptation to various soil and climatic conditions, recommended for cultivation in the forest-steppe, steppe, and Polesie regions of Ukraine. This medium-late variety with a growing period of 110-125 days is characterized by high yield, reaching up to 50 c/ha, and high oil content in seeds — from 44% to 52%. The mass of 1000 seeds varies within 52-62 grams, and the head shape is flat, which facilitates harvesting and post-harvest processing.
Hybrid MAS 96 P exhibits high resistance to major sunflower diseases and stress factors. It is genetically resistant to 7 races of *Plasmodiophora* (A-G), tolerant to *Phoma*, sclerotinia of the stem and head, powdery mildew, *Verticillium*, and rots. Moreover, the sunflower demonstrates high drought tolerance and resistance to lodging, ensuring crop stability even under insufficient moisture conditions.
To achieve maximum productivity, it is recommended to maintain optimal sowing density: in zones with sufficient moisture — 60,000-65,000 plants per hectare, and in zones with insufficient moisture — 50,000-55,000 plants per hectare. Seeds are supplied in bags of 150,000 units, which is sufficient for sowing on an area of 2.2-2.5 ha, and are treated with AGROSTART and PONCHO D150 preparations. The cultivation technology is classical, making the hybrid accessible and convenient for farmers.
