LG 5452 HO KL

LG 5452 HO KL is a mid-to-early high-oleic sunflower hybrid developed by Limagrain. It belongs to the Clearfield production system and is resistant to the herbicide Euro-Lightning, ensuring effective weed control. The plant is tall, reaching about 165-170 cm in height with a head diameter of approximately 15.7 cm. The thousand-seed weight is around 71 g, and the oil content reaches 50%, indicating high grain quality and oiliness. The hybrid is intended for cultivation in all zones of Ukraine and shows a high degree of plasticity to various growing conditions. LG 5452 HO KL has high resistance to common sunflower diseases, including new races of downy mildew, and is tolerant to seven races of rust (A-G). In terms of agronomic characteristics, the hybrid demonstrates high yield potential and stability, as well as good early growth energy and stress tolerance and cold hardiness. Resistance to lodging and various rots (foomopsis, white root and head rot, ash, and dry rot, fomois) is also at a high level, contributing to the reliability and quality of the yield. The optimal sowing density varies depending on soil moisture: 55-60 thousand/ha with sufficient moisture and 50-55 thousand/ha with insufficient. It is recommended to avoid overcrowding to achieve maximum productivity.
