MAS 880SU

Sunflower MAS 880SU is a mid-season linoleic-type hybrid developed by the French seed company MAS Seeds. The vegetation period is 115–118 days, and the plant is tall with a convex, slightly tilted head. The hybrid is characterized by high productivity and is adapted for cultivation in various climatic zones, including the Polesie, Forest-Steppe, and Northern Steppe regions, as well as capable of thriving under conditions of insufficient moisture and drought.

One of the key features of MAS 880SU is its high resistance to a wide range of diseases, such as Phomopsis, Verticillium, false powdery mildew (RM9), head and stem sclerotinia, and root rot. In addition, the hybrid is tolerant to sunflower flea beetles (A-G), significantly broadening its application on infested fields. The seeds have a high oil content — from 46 to 49% — making this hybrid attractive for oilseed production.

MAS 880SU is recommended for cultivation at an optimal density of 55–60 thousand plants per hectare in well-watered zones and 50–55 thousand in drier regions. The hybrid successfully combines TBMT and ORO-G technologies, ensuring its resistance to pests and adverse conditions. Seed packaging is done in 10 kg bags, which is convenient for farmers and agronomists aiming to achieve high yields and quality oilseed products.
