Description
ES ROSALIA — a mid-season sunflower hybrid distinguished by high productivity and resistance to various stress conditions during cultivation. The vegetation period ranges from 106 to 125 days, depending on conditions, allowing flexible use in different regions. Plants reach a height of 155-165 cm, with a flower head diameter of approximately 21-25 cm, which is semi-tilted. The hybrid is characterized by high oil content — around 49%, and a 1000-seed weight of 56-57 grams, ensuring a high yield potential of up to 50 centners per hectare.
The ES ROSALIA hybrid exhibits excellent resistance to lodging, drought, and a broad spectrum of diseases. It is tolerant to 7 strains of downy mildew (A-G), and shows high resistance to anthracnose, head and stem sclerotinia, rust, verticillium wilt, and false powdery mildew. Thanks to these traits, the hybrid adapts well to various soil-climatic conditions, including the Forest Steppe, Steppe, and Polissia regions of Ukraine.
To achieve maximum productivity, intensive cultivation techniques are recommended, including optimal seeding rates that vary by region: from 40-45 thousand plants per hectare in the Southern Steppe to 55-60 thousand in the Forest Steppe. An important element of agronomy is fertilization with nutrients and microelements, such as boron-containing products at the 2-3 true leaf stage. Additionally, weed and pest control using modern agents, such as acetochlor and carbendazim, is necessary. Desiccation is performed using isopropylammonium glyphosate salt to prepare for harvest.
