Ameli — a mid-season sunflower hybrid (Helianthus annuus L.), adapted to various adverse environmental factors and cultivation technologies, including the Express technology. Plants reach an average height of 150-160 cm, do not branch, have green leaves without or with very weak reticulation and fine serration. Flowers are ligulate and tubular, yellow in color, with medium-sized heads that orient downward at half maturity. Seeds are narrowly oval-shaped, medium thickness, with a black base color and gray marginal stripes, giving them a distinctive appearance. The hybrid is attractive to pollinators and exhibits high fertility. Ameli is distinguished by high resistance to lodging and diseases such as downy mildew (A-E races), false powdery mildew, fomopsis, and white mold. Drought tolerance allows successful cultivation under various climatic conditions. Recommended for cultivation in the North Caucasus, Central Volga, Central Chernozem, and Lower Volga regions, as well as in Krasnodar and Stavropol regions. The vegetative period is approximately 116 days, corresponding to the mid-season group. The hybrid demonstrates high productivity and oil content in seeds. Potential yield reaches 45-48 t/ha, with average yields across different regions ranging from 23.7 to 42 t/ha. Oil content in seeds ranges from 45.3% to 50%, with average oil content in seeds around 47-49%. Oil extraction can reach 1.7 t/ha, making Ameli an attractive choice for producers focused on high efficiency and product quality.
