The hybrid sunflower ES Imibor was developed using Clearfield technology and is resistant to imidazolinone herbicides, providing effective weed control and reducing the impact of the parasitic plant — dodder. This hybrid is characterized by high plasticity and adaptability to various growing conditions, as confirmed by successful trials in challenging climatic conditions in the Odesa region and other areas of Ukraine. The producer, Elita Select, guarantees high accuracy of declared characteristics in practice.
ES Imibor has a powerful root system up to 1.5 meters long, allowing the plant to efficiently utilize water even during dry periods. Rapid early growth and full coverage of inter-row spaces by leaf surface contribute to good development and protection against weeds. The hybrid is resistant to five aggressive dodder races (A-E), tolerant to Phomopsis, various rots, and new races of false powdery mildew (FPM), ensuring stable and reliable yields.
Plant height reaches 170-175 cm, flower head diameter up to 35 cm with a tilt of about 45 degrees. ES Imibor is characterized by high oil content — up to 51%, making it a high-oil hybrid. Vegetation period is 115-117 days, 1000-seed mass — about 60 grams. Recommended plant density before harvest — 50-55 thousand per hectare. To increase productivity, foliar feeding with boron and application of growth stimulants such as Regoplant, Aktivnyi Start, and Humate Potassium Sodium LF 20 are recommended. The hybrid is suitable for cultivation in steppe and forest-steppe zones of Ukraine.
