Sunflower ES LONDON SU

Genetic Potential and Protection

The ES London SU by Euralis Semences is a classic simple hybrid designed to stabilize yields in high-infection environments. French breeding focuses on a comprehensive phytosanitary barrier, which is crucial for intensive farming practices.

Phytopathological Profile

The core value of this hybrid lies in its ability to withstand a wide range of pathogens. Genetic resistance to verticillium wilt, sclerotinia, phomopsis, and rust allows for reduced pesticide load during critical vegetative phases. Special attention is given to its resistance to downy mildew and charcoal rot—diseases that often cause premature stalk desiccation and seed weight loss.

Biological Parameters

With a vegetation period of 100-110 days, the hybrid belongs to the medium-early maturity group. The plant height of 160-170 cm ensures optimal assimilate distribution. The flattened, medium-sized head promotes uniform seed ripening, and the oil content in the 45-50% range makes it a high-profit crop for processors.

• Hybrid type: simple.
• Strategy recommendation: use in regions with a high risk of stalk rots and fungal infections.
• Performance: high adaptability to European soil and climatic conditions.

The engineering of this hybrid is focused on minimizing cultivation risks, allowing farmers to achieve consistent results even with minimal fungicide expenditure.
