Berkana AM

The Berkana AM sunflower hybrid is a high-oil and high-yielding variety designed for cultivation in Steppe and Forest-Steppe zones. It features medium plant height (170-180 cm), medium-sized and shaped heads, and a 1000-seed mass of about 60 g. The hybrid's medium-early maturity period (112-115 days) allows for effective planning of agronomic practices. Its high oil content reaches 51-52%, making this variety especially attractive for oil production.

One of the key features of Berkana AM is its drought and disease resistance. The hybrid has a strong root system, ensuring good development even under limited moisture conditions. Additionally, it is genetically resistant to race 730 of false powdery mildew, white mold, and fomopsis, significantly reducing the risk of yield losses and minimizing the need for frequent fungicide applications.

The Berkana AM hybrid is cultivated using Clearfield (EuroLighting) technology, providing resistance to imidazolinone group herbicides. This allows for effective weed control without harming the crop, which is especially important in intensive cultivation technologies. The high yield potential, reaching 44 centners per hectare, combined with resistance to adverse conditions and diseases, makes this hybrid an optimal choice for modern farmers.
