ES LORIS CLP

Sunflower ES LORIS CLP is a medium-early simple hybrid developed for cultivation using Clearfield Plus technology. It is characterized by high yield and is adapted to various natural-climatic conditions, including steppes, forest-steppes, and meadows. The hybrid's vegetative period is approximately 109-110 days, enabling effective use in regions with varying lengths of the warm season. Plants reach a height of about 175 cm, have large leaves that close rows well, and a flower head diameter of 24 cm. Seeds are packaged in quantities of 150,000 and treated with a fungicidal seed treatment for disease protection.

The ES LORIS CLP hybrid exhibits high resistance to major sunflower diseases, including Phomopsis, flower head sclerotinia, false powdery mildew, rust, anthracnose, Alternaria, and verticillium. Thanks to the presence of the PL6 gene, it provides reliable protection against false powdery mildew. Additionally, the hybrid is genetically resistant to seven main races of the parasitic weed volunteer (nematode), making it especially valuable in regions where this pest is widely distributed.

ES LORIS CLP is characterized by high drought and heat tolerance, achieved through a well-developed and strong root system, as well as a sturdy stem that ensures resistance to lodging. The hybrid demonstrates high initial vigor and maintains high productivity even under stressful conditions and dense plantings. A notable feature of the seeds is their high oil content — 50-51% — which enhances their economic value. The recommended seeding rate varies depending on soil moisture: 50-55 thousand seeds per hectare under insufficient moisture, and 55-60 thousand seeds per hectare under adequate moisture.
