Sunflower BARCELONA

Field Performance: Stability Meets Yield

When you're running a Clearfield (Euro-Lighting) program, you need a hybrid that doesn't just withstand the herbicide, but thrives despite it. The RAGT «Barcelona» is a three-way hybrid that delivers exactly that kind of consistency. It’s a workhorse of a sunflower that doesn't demand excessive pampering but responds well to standardized agronomic practices.

Agro-Operational Insights

With a vegetation period of 110–120 days, it fits perfectly into most rotation plans. Standing at 170–180 cm, the plants are tall enough to develop large, heavy heads, yet they maintain a uniform stature that makes combining straightforward and efficient. From a pathology standpoint, this hybrid is a fortress. Whether you are dealing with white rot, grey rot, or downy mildew, the plant’s natural resistance profile handles these threats, allowing you to cut back on unnecessary fungicide applications.

Why it works for your bottom line

• High Oil Content: Achieving 50–55% oil content isn't just marketing fluff; with proper moisture management, these numbers hold up, providing a significant boost in market value.
• Herbicide Tolerance: Being Clearfield-ready, it allows for a clean sweep of weeds and broomrape without setting back the crop's growth. For an operator, this means less stress on the plant and fewer passes through the field.
• Harvest Efficiency: The uniform maturity of the heads means your combine isn't struggling with uneven ripening, leading to minimal header losses and faster completion times.

In short, «Barcelona» by RAGT is for the grower who prioritizes predictable, high-quality results. It’s designed for operational ease, providing a robust solution for fields with history of fungal pressure or persistent weed problems.
