ES ARGENTIK is a medium-early high-oleic sunflower hybrid belonging to the mid-maturing group with a vegetation period of 110–118 days. Plants reach a height of 165–175 cm and have a head diameter of 21–23 cm with a slight tilt at maturity. The hybrid is characterized by high seed oil content — 48–51%, with oleic acid content in the oil reaching 90–91%, making it especially valuable for producing high-quality oil.
ES ARGENTIK exhibits high resistance to a wide range of diseases, including false powdery mildew, rust, fomopsis, sclerotinia (both heads and stems), anthracnose, and verticillium. Special attention should be given to its genetic resistance to downy mildew (wolf) in most known forms and races. The hybrid also possesses double haploid resistance to herbicides, facilitating weed control in crops.
This sunflower adapts well to various soil-climate conditions, including the forest-steppe and northern steppe zones, and can also be grown in the Polissia and steppe regions of Ukraine. ES ARGENTIK is drought- and lodging-resistant, has a strong and slender stem with a well-developed root system, ensuring stable yields even under extreme conditions. The use of the Express technology is recommended for optimizing cultivation and achieving maximum yield potential.
