Sunflower ES AROMATIC SU

Stability and Oil Content: The Profile of ES Aromatik SU

French breeding by Euralis Semences traditionally focuses on the balance between yield potential and stress tolerance. The sunflower hybrid ES Aromatik SU is a prime example of this strategy, aimed at farmers working in moderate humidity conditions who seek to minimize pathogen-related risks.

Phytosanitary Shield and Morphology

The core strength of this model is its high resistance to a key spectrum of diseases that account for up to 20% of yield losses in steppe and forest-steppe zones annually. Unlike many competitors, ES Aromatik SU demonstrates excellent field resistance to:

• Phomopsis and Phoma — even under high disease pressure.
• White mold (root and head rot) — due to its superior plant architecture.
• Downy mildew — allowing for confident crop rotation planning.

The plant height of 160–170 cm ensures optimal airflow within the canopy, while the medium-sized, semi-convex head effectively releases moisture during maturation, reducing post-harvest drying costs.

Cultivation Economics

With a vegetation period of 110–120 days, this mid-early hybrid is essential for logistics planning in large-scale farming operations. However, the true advantage of ES Aromatik SU lies in its oil content. A range of 45–50% is a stable benchmark for the brand, allowing growers to aim for premium pricing from processors. Because this hybrid does not require excessive fungicide applications, it remains an optimal choice for farmers focused on lowering the cost per ton while maintaining high grain marketability.
