Sunflower ES Belfis CLP is a medium-early hybrid of Clearfield Plus technology, developed by the breeding company Euralis. This moderately intensive hybrid exhibits broad adaptability to various climatic conditions, making it suitable for cultivation in the Polissia, forest-steppe, and steppe zones. ES Belfis CLP is characterized by high growth energy in early development stages and stable yield performance under varying cultivation conditions. The vegetative period of the hybrid ranges from 104 to 110 days, with flowering beginning 68–70 days after emergence.
Sunflower plants reach an average height of 160–175 cm, have strong stems and a robust root system, providing resistance to lodging. The flower head diameter is 22–24 cm, with the inflorescence having a slight angle of attachment to the stem. The hybrid seeds contain 48–52% oil, making them attractive raw material for the oil and fat industry.
ES Belfis CLP exhibits high tolerance to major sunflower diseases, including false powdery mildew, fomopsis, anthracnose, verticillium, rust, and sclerotinia. The hybrid is also drought-tolerant and less sensitive to adverse weather conditions. A notable feature is its high resistance to Clearfield Plus technology herbicides, which simplifies weed control and enhances the effectiveness of agronomic practices.
