The hybrid sunflower QC105 is a medium-early, high-yielding variety with a vegetation period of 105-110 days, developed for cultivation using the Clearfield technology with imidazolinone herbicides, such as Evolighting. This hybrid is characterized by high growth vigor and high yield potential, reaching up to 5 tons per hectare. Plants reach a height of 160-165 cm, have a flattened flower head with a diameter of 18-22 cm, and feature high oil content in seeds — 48-50% — making it attractive for the oil industry.
QC105 exhibits high resistance to various diseases and stress factors, including fomosis, fomopsis, rust, false powdery mildew, gray and white rot, as well as five races of downy mildew and sunflower moth. Resistance to lodging, shattering, and drought is rated at 8-9 out of 9, ensuring stable yields even under insufficient moisture. The hybrid is adapted to various soil-climatic conditions and is especially recommended for cultivation in the forest-steppe and steppe zones of Ukraine.
Optimal plant density varies depending on the moisture zone: in well-watered conditions, 62-65 thousand plants per hectare are recommended; in moderately watered conditions — 45-50 thousand; and in areas with limited moisture — 40-45 thousand. The planting rate is 150 thousand seeds per hectare. Due to its adaptability, disease resistance, and high agronomic performance, the hybrid QC105 is a reliable choice for farmers aiming to achieve high-quality sunflower yields.
