Sunflower ES Arkadia — this early-maturing hybrid, developed by Evralis and successfully grown on Ukrainian fields since 2017, is characterized by high yield potential reaching 5 tons per hectare and a vegetation period of about 104 days. The hybrid is suitable for cultivation in various climatic zones of Ukraine, including Polissia, Forest-Steppe, and Steppe, making it a universal solution for farmers aiming to achieve stable and high-quality harvests.
One of the key features of ES Arkadia is its high resistance to thistle — a pest that significantly reduces sunflower yield. The hybrid exhibits tolerance to seven thistle races (A-G), providing reliable protection for crops. Additionally, the sunflower is resistant to major diseases such as phomopsis, basket and stem sclerotinia, further enhancing its resilience and reducing harvest loss risks.
ES Arkadia also features homozygous resistance to the herbicide tribenuron-methyl, enabling the use of the Express technology for effective weed control without harming the crop. Plant height reaches approximately 170 cm, and the head diameter is 22 cm, which promotes good development and seed formation with oil content of 46–47%. Thanks to its combination of herbicide and disease resistance, along with high yield, this hybrid is an excellent choice for modern agrotechnologies and ensures stable income for farmers.
